Highlights from this morning’s announcements:
Read first: “I would like to acknowledge that this school is situated upon traditional territories. The territories include the Wendat, Anishinabek Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Mississaugas of Scugog, Hiawatha, Alderville First Nation and the Métis Nation. The treaty that was signed for this particular parcel of land is collectively referred to as the Williams Treaties of 1923 and applies to lands east of Woodbine Avenue. I also recognize the enduring presence of Aboriginal peoples on this land.”
- Cross Country Practice is 8am Mon, Wed and Friday of this week.
- Reminder to please uses the bike racks provided to lock your bikes. Please don’t lock them to the fence in the garden.
- Drama with Jeff starts Tues, Sept 18th for Grades 1 and 1/2 classes.
- Terry Fox pledges are coming in! Great job Gledhill! Last week at curriculum night over $50 was added to Mrs. Bailey’s purple hair jar. And, over $100 was raised to help Hailey and her family. Way to go! Keep those pledges coming.
- All grade 4 and 5 girls interested in trying out for the soccer team, the tryouts are Tuesday and Wednesday after school.
