Hello Gledhill families!
The parent council is happy to announce and inaugurate our first annual, Virtual Silent Auction in conjunction with the Family Fest celebrations on May 30th. As part of our tried and true fundraising efforts, we, the parent council, are trying our hand at running a silent auction to raise funds for some of the invaluable resources, events, and tech equipment for the very deserving students at Gledhill Junior Public School.
To start, we have compiled a list of shops, restaurants, and other community services that may be willing to donate a product, service, or experience to be packaged and auctioned. As part of our list of community resources, we thought we might reach out to parents/caregivers to see if there were any items/services/experiences you might be willing to provide for our silent auction. We know that there are some very talented and dynamic parents in our community who might be able to donate a wealth of interesting options. We are hoping to secure prizes by Friday May 3rd.
If you are interested in supporting this undertaking, please reach out to thegledhillguardian@gmail.com or any member of the parent council, so we can add your name and item for auction to our growing list. We know many other neighbouring communities have had much success in executing silent auctions, and I have no doubt that our community can achieve a strong outcome for our first venture.
