Daily Announcements – Tuesday, April 8

1. Attention Junior Choir members: Soloists and duets are now posted outside of the Music Room. If you signed up for a solo or duet, you may come to the Music room at recess to see your singing assignment. Please come at recess ONLY if you signed up for a solo or duet. Otherwise we will see you at 11:30 for rehearsal. Primary Choir: If we have an indoor lunch today, you will be picked up at the gym. Please line up and be ready to come up to the Music room. If it is not raining you will be picked up as usual from the Kindergarten doors outside. Bring your $2 for the kaz00 if you haven’t already handed it in. See you all at rehearsal.

2. Tomorrow is PINK Day. Wear pink to show anti-bullying awareness.

1. Our message today is Personal Safety: Always walk with a buddy or family member to and from school.

2. There will be a badminton practice at 11:30 AND after school for those with choir.

3. Reminder to all choir members of our rehearsal today at lunch. See you then in the Music Room.

4. Math Caribou is tomorrow morning. Please meet in the library right after morning announcements. Bring scrap paper and a pencil. Before tomorrow please practice the game: Tower of Hanoi and read up on Gauss.

Daily Announcements – Thursday, March 27

1. Thank you to all the Primary teachers for making Skate Day a HUGE success. Junior Skate Day today.

2. It was a warm run today for the Running Club. It will get even warmer! You know, it’s never too late to join the Running Club.

3. Tomorrow is Pizza Lunch and Friday evening is the Pot Luck Dinner and Dance. Come and support our school and community – 6pm in the gym.

1. A message for badminton team members from Mme Betty: There is a lunch hour practice today from 11:30-12:15. Please bring your lunch and eat in the gym. Note there will NOT be an after school practice today – it is cancelled. There will also be a lunch hour practice Thursday. See you out on the courts!

2. Message for Eco-Tigers: We will see Eco-Tigers today on the stage in the gym to start the Gledhill waste audit. See you all right after you eat your lunch. From Ms Gulley and Mme Leclerc.

3. Are you having a healthy snack? March is nutrition month!

4. Primary students (Grades 1-3) don’t forget to bring your skates and helmets tomorrow for Skate Day!

Daily Announcements – Thursday and Friday, March 20 and 21

Highlights from our announcements:

announcement1. We are excited to announce that next Wednesday and Thursday will be Gledhill Skate Days! Grades 1-3 students will go skating with their class Wednesday afternoon and Grades 4-6 on Thursday afternoon. Β If you don’t have your own skates and helmet we will have ones to borrow. Please watch for the forms in your backpack and return them to your teacher as soon as possible – Monday at the latest.

2. Runners new to the Running Club and interested in a Running Club Jacket, please see Mme. Scaife today (Friday) for sizing.

3. Next Friday is the Gledhill Potluck Dinner and Dance! Hope to see you there from 6-9 at night.

1. Grade 5 and 6 students interested in joining the badminton team please pick up a form and practice schedule from the basket outside the gym office at afternoon recess or after school today. Please bring it to the meeting with Ms. Homonko this Thursday at 11:30 am in the gym. Please make sure every section is filled out completely. The meeting will be about 20 min. All interested students must attend.

2. All students participating in the Playground Activity Leaders in Schools (PALS) training this Thursday from 12:30-3:20 in the gym, please attend an important meeting with Ms. Homonko at this morning’s recess (right at 10:05) in front of the gym office.

3. Eco-Tigers will meet AFTER you eat lunch today. See you in Rm 18 at noon. Also, Eco-Tigers, please bring your club permission form if you have not already. See you later today! From Mme Leclerc and Ms Gulley

1. Attention all Primary and Junior Choir members! Our Spring rehearsals start TOMORROW (Tues, March 18th) in the music room at lunch. 11:30 for Juniors and 12:00 for Primary. See you there!

2. The running club is meeting in much warmer temperatures at 7:45am.

3. Snow Soccer House League between Rms 21 and 22 is postponed until the field is in better condition.

Daily Announcements – Friday, February 28

announcementHighlights from this morning’s (and yesterday’s) announcements:

1. Eco-Tigers (from Mme Leclerc and Mrs Gulley) – A big thank you to all the primary teachers who identified 2 students from their class to be part of the Eco-club. Students will eat in their regular space and then meet in Rm 18 at 11:50. (yesterday)

2. The Gledhill Dance-a thon is less than a week away! Don’t forget to fill out your pledge form and return it to our teacher by next Wednesday.

3. “We Are Love” was amazing! We made over $900. A huge Gledhill thanks to all participants. The money raised will go to a number of great causes.
