Tomorrow is Pink Day and the Grade 5 Bake Sale. The sale is by students for students. If you choose, please send your child with some quarters to purchase baked goods. If allergies are an issue please consider sending your child with a safe baked good. We cannot guarantee that all homemade items are completely nut free.

Pizza Lunch orders for Friday, April 28 and Friday, May 26 are now available on School Online. The deadline to order is Wenesday, Apr 19th.

Open to all Gledhill students (Kindergarten – Grade 5), slices of cheese, pepperoni, dairy-free cheese and cheese with gluten free-crust from Pizza Pizza will be available for $3 per slice. Up to three slices per student may be ordered for each Pizza Lunch day and students will receive the same order for both dates.

Pizza orders must be placed and paid for through the School Cash Online system – no pizza will be available for sale on the day of the Pizza Lunch.

All pizza orders contribute to Gledhill School Council’s fundraising efforts – thank you for supporting Gledhill and our students!

Thank you everyone who came out to support Gledhill at the Marlies game yesterday.

The choir had 100 members from grades 1-5 and they did such a fabulous job singing the National Anthem. Thank you to all the kiddos who participated and to the teachers who made it happen.

There were 493 tickets sold and we raised over $2K for the school. A special thank you to Lindsay, co-Chair of the parent council, who helped organize the tickets sales.

We hoped everyone who attended had a lovely time!

On Monday, April 3, we are going to Light it Up Blue in honour of Autism Awareness Month. Wear blue to show your support of inclusivity and celebrating differences!

Gledhill’s Family Fest is back on Thursday June 15, and we are hoping for great things. We will be needing a lot of volunteers on the day of, so mark your calendars now!

For now, we are seeking volunteers who want to take on a bigger role in planning the event. In particular we need people who are prepared to take on the following tasks:

-Volunteer Coordinator  

-Community Liaison (to help secure donations and sponsorships)

-Bake Sale

-International Food Table

-Games Coordinator

Also, if you are a DJ, a talented face painter or a balloon artist and you are willing to donate your time, please let us know!

Just a reminder that Pizza Lunch returns on Friday, March 31 for those students who have already ordered – new last minute requests cannot be accommodated as the pizza order has already been placed.

The next two Pizza Lunch dates are set for Friday, April 28 and Friday, May 26. Watch for an email soon about how to order pizza for those dates. All orders must be placed and paid for through School Cash Online.
