What’s Happening?

We invite you to join the Gledhill School Council in bringing our community together again in an engaging fundraiser supporting student activities and educational programs at Gledhill. Last year we had so much fun and succeeded in raising over $4,300 in support of technology and literacy goals at our school. Gledhill family and community members played an exceptional role in helping us create lasting memories for our community. Can we count on your support again?

How Can I Get Involved?

It’s easy!! When you see the silent auction flyer, click on the QR code or go to the website: https://www.32auctions.com/Gledhillsilentauction2025 

• Create a free account with the email address you would like to use for silent auction communication. Approve your account through your email, provide your first and last name and create a private password for your account. No credit card information is necessary. 
• Click on Gledhill Silent Auction 2025 to start viewing all the amazing items and experiences up for bid such as gift cards to your favourite restaurants, summer camp spots, a teddy bear picnic, amazing themed gift baskets full of art supplies, books, wine/cheese, beach toys and more! And for the musician in your life, don’t miss the chance to bid on the electric-acoustic guitar!! 
• Click on the item title to view a more detailed description.
• Click on the heart symbol to bookmark your favourite items. 

Bidding starts at 8am May 23 and will be open for a week until 6pm May 30th. Don’t miss your chance to score some great deals on fantastic items and unforgettable experiences! Check out our table at Family Fest to see a selection of items (and get a better peek of what’s in the baskets).

Winners will be contacted by email through the week after Family Fest to arrange for payment and delivery of their item.

We will do our best to reach you with the email you provided, however, unclaimed items will be offered to the next highest bidder by the end of the week.

We are looking forward to seeing you all at Family Fest on Friday, May 30th! Thank you to
all of you who already purchased your bracelets and BBQ items! With just a few short weeks to
go, this email will serve as a request and a reminder.

1. This event only runs because of volunteers. We’ve seen very little uptake in the
   volunteer positions necessary for this event to be a success.
   Our hope is that one adult from each Gledhill household will participate in a one-hour
   shift. Click here to sign up to volunteer. With your help, we can keep events like this
   going strong.
2. Purchase your items ASAP! Make all purchases in advance of Thursday, May 22nd
   at 11:59 p.m. Get your All-You-Can-Bounce Bracelets at the Early Bird Special
   Price of $25 AND your BBQ items. If you or your family have questions regarding the
   food, please reach out to thegledhillguardian@gmail.com.
   Please note: Bracelets will be $35 on the day of the event, so grab yours early!

Happy Tuesday, Gledhill Families!

We’re thrilled to announce that Family Fest is BACK—mark your calendars for Friday, May
30th! With just a few short weeks to go, you may have noticed a message from SchoolCash
Online. Two exciting options are now available for purchase to help you and your family make
the most of the event:

All-You-Can-Bounce Bracelet – $25 Early Bird Special
Let your kids bounce to their hearts’ content from 3:30 to 7 PM! This bracelet gives them
unlimited access to all inflatable activities and is the best-value option for the day. Bracelets can
be picked up in advance or at the event—keep an eye on your inbox for pickup times.
Please note: Bracelets will be $35 on the day of the event, so grab yours early!

BBQ Meals – $8 each
Enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner thanks to our friends at M&M Food Market, with chips and drinks
generously sponsored by Davidson’s Valu-Mart. Each meal includes your choice of main, a
drink, and a bag of chips—perfect for the whole family! Please note: The hot dog being served
is Halal. Gluten free options are available for purchase. If you or your family have questions
regarding the food, please reach out to thegledhillguardian@gmail.com.

Family Fest runs on the power of volunteers—and we still need helping hands to make the day
a success! Can you spare an hour?

It’s a fantastic way to meet other parents and be part of the fun. Our goal is to have at least one
volunteer from each household—with your help, we can keep events like this going strong.

All proceeds from this year’s Family Fest will go toward enriching Gledhill student experiences,
including programs like Drama with Jeff, the Chess Club, and more.

Gledhill Parent Council

Calling all cuddly creatures in need of a new home! At this year’s Family Fest, we’re hosting a Stuffie Adoption Event — a special opportunity to find loving homes for gently-loved stuffed animals, all while raising funds for our amazing Parent’s Council.

We’re looking for donations from our caring community! If you have any clean, lightly used stuffies ready for their next adventure, please send them to school with your child. All future adoptees will be lovingly collected in Room 4 until the big day.

Let’s give these stuffies a second chance to be someone’s snuggle buddy — and support our school while we’re at it! 

Parent Council will be meeting tonight, Tuesday, April 22nd at 6:30-8:00pm in the library.

How can I get invovled?
Apr 1-30: If you own a local business or have connections with other business owners, please consider donating an experience, gift card or merchandise as a bidding item. We offer free marketing through our event communication channels.

By Apr 30: Reach out to Erin at thegledhillguardian@gmail.com and have your item ready for pick up by April 30th.

May 23- 30: Silent auction bidding will take place on our online auction platform and will be open one week before Family Fest (May 30) at which point the highest bidders will win their items!

Who: Our Community, this event is open to everyone so invite your family, friends & neighbours!
Free to Participate Activities:

• Games, including a station by Jack of Sports!

Pay to Play Activities:

• BBQ Dinner: available only to pre-purchase via School Cash Online by May 23
  • Options for BBQ Dinner are: All beef burger; Veggie Burger; Jumbo Beef Hot Dog. All served with a drink and bag of chips. The hot dog and bun are Halal.
• Bouncy Castles – All you can bounce: $25 via school cash online by May 23 ($35 day of via cash & card)
• Other Treats (Bake Sale, Ice cream, Cotton Candy): Various (cash & card day of)
• Silent Auction: Online Only.

Family Fest items will be available shortly to purchase via School Cash Online. The deadline for purchasing will be May 23 at 11:59pm. If you are not registered for School Cash Online and would like to participate, please email at thegledhillguardian@gmail.com

Please note: this is a rain or shine event that has been organized by Parent Council. We have to commit to the orders placed with our vendors and as a result, we are unable to change an order once it has been placed and WE CANNOT OFFER ANY REFUNDS. Thank you for supporting Gledhill and our students!

As always, this event runs only because of volunteers and we need more to make this a success. In the weeks to come, you will see a call for assistance. Please ensure that someone in your household signs up for a shift. Without volunteers, these events cannot continue to run.

When: Friday April 11 – Doors open at 6 pm; movie starts at 6:30 pm.

Admission is $2 and pizza and snacks will be available for sale. 🍕
