2016/2017 Class List Posting

A quick note, for those interested, that 2016/2017 Class Lists are not yet available at the school. The administration is hoping to have them posted on the wall inside the Terry Fox Centre for viewing tomorrow – Tuesday Aug 30.

The end of the 2015/16 school year is here!

From the Gledhill School Council, thank you to our dedicated and generous parents, teachers, and school administration for making this year a great success. We had a productive and fun year working together and we look forward to connecting again this coming September!

For parents and guardians of children graduating from Gledhill this year, we thank you for being a part of the Gledhill community and we wish you well on your next school adventure!  We also hope to see you again at our Gledhill events in the coming years!

We wish everyone a safe, happy, and healthy summer break and we will be back online in September.

  1. Kindergarten helpers please come to Room 25 at morning recess.
  2. Report cards will go home at the end of the day. If you are absent at the end of the day, it will be mailed to your house.
  3. Happy LAST DAY OF SCHOOL everyone!

Gledhill Water Bottles on sale one last time

There have been further requests for Gledhill water bottles!  They will be on sale for one last time this school year – tomorrow morning at drop off (8:20 – 8:50) in the schoolyard. $5 per bottle and the proceeds go to The Gledhill School Council programs.image

Daily Announcements: Tuesday, June 28th

  1. We have an assembly today right after morning recess.
  2. The last day of swimming for Room 24 is tomorrow.
  3. This Sunday is Toronto’s Pride Parade to celebrate Pride Toronto.
  4. Report cards will be distributed at the end of day tomorrow.

Daily Announcements – Monday, June 27th

  1. Today is graduation for our grade 6 students. Congratulations one and all!
  2. Tomorrow we have our final school assembly after morning recess.
  3. Students, you will receive your report card at the end of the day Wednesday. If you are absent Wednesday, it will be mailed to your home address. No one will receive their report card ahead of Wednesday at the end of the day.
  4. Room 20 is spending all day at Enoch Turner schoolhouse. Happy trip!

  1. If anyone found a small grey and orange speaker with a clip on the top, please return it to Ms Bailey. There is a reward for the safe return of it.

Volunteer Tea: Tomorrow – Thursday, June 23, 2-3 pm in the Library

The Gledhill Staff are holding a Volunteer Tea to say a big thanks to the many parents who volunteer their time for our school. If you helped out this year either in the classroom, on the school council or by contributing to better our school community in some way –  please join us tomorrow.

When: Thursday, June 23    2:00 – 3:00pm

Where : The Gledhill Library

  1. Hey Gledhill! We are looking for families to help out with watering of trees + gardens during the summer. If you live close to the school and think your family might be able to help out, please speak to Mme Leclerc.
  2. Gledhill water bottles will be on sale tomorrow at morning recess outside. They are $5 each.
  3. Tomorrow is a big day at Gledhill: there will be a staff appreciation lunch from our Grade 6 graduates, and our volunteer tea in the library in the afternoon.

  1. A message from Mme Leclerc: Dear Gledhill, our school has beautiful trees and gardens and they need lots of water on hot summer days! If you live close to the school and think you and your family could help do some of the watering over the summer, please ask your mom or dad to speak to Mme Leclerc or leave a note in her mailbox.
  2. Any students who missed buying a water bottle at Family Fest, they will be sold for $5 at first recess on THURSDAY.
