A friendly reminder that the deadline to preorder your BBQ & All You Can Bounce Bracelets is tomorrow, Wednesday May 22 at 11:59pm.

What you can order:

• BBQ Dinner: $8 (school cash online only by May 22)
  • $8: All beef burger with a drink and bag of chips
  • $8: Veggie burger with a drink and bag of chips
  • $8: Jumbo Beef Hot Dog with a drink and bag of chips (*Hot dog and Bun are halal)
• All you can bounce: $25 via school cash online by May 22 ($35 day of via cash & card)

Note: BBQ orders cannot be accommodated the day of the event as we need to provide final numbers to our vendor.

Pre-purchased bracelets can be picked up ahead of the event in the school yard on the following days:
Mon. May 27: 8-9am & 3-4pm
Tues. May 28: 8-9am
Rain day for pick up is Wed. May 29 8-9am & 3-4pm)

Bracelets will also be available for purchase during this time for $25. As of May 30, the bracelets will be $35.

Thursday May 23: Spring Concert
Drop off is at 5:15pm, Concert starts at 5:30pm in the Gym. A $2 donation is requested to support the music department and a future arts based program for the school to enjoy.

Friday May 24: Pizza Lunch
A notice has been sent out via School Cash Online. Please place your orders by Thursday May 16th.

Thursday May 30th: Family Fest!
3:30-7:30
This event is open to the community, so invite your neighbours & friends! You can look forward to a BBQ dinner, inflatables, games, face painting, cotton candy, bake sale, ice cream and more! Additional details how on to purchase tickets and more will follow in the coming days so stay tuned!

In the mean time if you would like to contribute to the bake sale you can sign up here. We are still looking for volunteers, if you are interested check out the blog post on how to get involved!

Well done Gledhill on completing the April Reading-Log Challenge and participating in Gledhill’s ongoing
90-day Read-A-Thon. We can’t wait to tally up the results and see which class will win the pizza day
prize!!

For the month of May students can colour in their activity sheets to show how their library builds
with each book they read. Just a reminder that both reading and being read to counts! A hard copy was sent home earlier this week but can also be downloaded here

Although students can log time for reading anything and everything, Parent-Teacher Council, in
partnership with our principal Ms. Kondilis-Minos and librarian Ms. Jarolim, would again like to share a
curated reading list that supports our school improvement goals. This month we are centering the topics
of consent and body boundaries, and honouring Asian and South Asian Heritage month, and Jewish
Heritage month. You can find book titles and free accessible links (where available) for Grades JK-2 and
3-5 to books that we hope will support students to learn about feeling safe in their bodies, as well as
learn about Asian and Jewish heritage across our family histories, within our community, and abroad. Check out the link here
