ICYMI – Winter Concert Details

The winter concert will take place on Thursday December 15th

All Kindergarten classes will be performing at 2pm in the gym.

Select grade 1 -5 classes will have their concert starting at 6:30pm in the gym. Participating classes in the WINTER CONCERT include: 9, 14, 18, 20, 22, 26, 27, 28, in addition to the USchool Uke group and the Primary Choir. (All remaining grade 1-5 classes will perform in the spring concert. Date TBA.)

Friendly reminder that tomorrow, Thursday November 10, is picture day!

Schools to reopen Tues Nov 8.

CUPE members will be returning to work tomorrow, Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Therefore all TDSB schools will re-open to in-person student learning tomorrow.

School remains CLOSED – Monday Nov 7th

We continue to monitor the news and social media, the school remains closed to in-person learning. Please watch your email and Google Classrooms for more information from the Board, School or Teacher.

What we know (now) – Gledhill impact of potential strike

We wanted to provide a few updates based on the information currently available. We will monitor news and social media for updates and provide any that are available as soon as we can.

SCHOOL – In the event the strike action goes forward, starting Friday November 4th and for the duration of the strike action the school will be closed for in-person learning, students should have some work from their classroom to complete at home independently Friday. Should job action continue beyond Friday, more information will be shared.

Gledhill Photo day is moved to Thursday November 10th

DAYCARE – We have confirmed Gledhill Daycare will also be closed Friday November 4th for ALL age groups. The centre is working on the impact should the strike extend beyond.

ARC – The ARC program in the school has confirmed it will NOT be operating Friday November 4th AND Monday November 7th.

CONFIRMED: Parade will take place outdoors

The Halloween parade will be held outside TODAY at 12:45. Come on out and join in the Halloween fun! The parents council will have coffee and tea (by door 5), please bring your own cup (BYOC).

The Parade route is as follows:

  • Exit the school from the front door.
  • Go north on Gledhill to King Edward.
  • West on King Edward to the entrance by the hockey nets.
  • Across the pathway towards the back entrance
  • East up the centre pathway which divides the two fields
  • South towards the playscape.
  • Classes will enter through either Door 2 or the Front entrance.

Note: the classes will walk along the paved areas, please try and keep it clear for them.

REMINDER: Gledhill Halloween Parade

Reminder: The traditional Halloween parade will be held outside on Monday, Oct. 31 at 12:45. If the weather cooperates, families are welcome to come and watch. The parent council will host a coffee/tea station for those who attend, please bring your own cup (BYOC).

In the case of rain, the parade will be moved inside and unfortunately families would no longer be able to attend. The decision to move the parade inside will be posted here and on our social media channels at 12pm on Monday.

As a reminder: Please do not bring weapons, wands or masks to school. Looking forward to a fun day for all!
