Hello Gledhill families..

The April break is next week Monday April 12-Friday April 16th, 2021.

We hope all of the students, staff and families of Gledhill have a safe and relaxing week off.

Dear Gledhill families,

We are sending out news that was released this afternoon from the Toronto District School Board. As of tomorrow, Wednesday April 7th, all schools in the TDSB will switch to virtual learning. Next week is the scheduled April Break and that will continue as planned. The schools will remain closed until Sunday April 18th. Please see the link below for the official TDSB statement.

Announcements and awareness will be happening in classes this week leading up to Friday.

Dress up wearing faux feathers, faux fur, ears, tails, animal prints or onesies! Let’s see your animal inspired creativity!!!

Hello Gledhill families!

We have received news from the school that there has been a week of spirit days planned.

Here are the five exciting spirit days planned for next week at the Gledhill!

Monday March 15th- MISMATCH DAY. Wear all your opposite socks, shoes etc.

Tuesday March 16th- BEACH DAY

Wednesday March 17th- Go Green for St. Patrick’s Day

Thursday March 18th- Team Spirit Day. Wear your favourite team jersey, colours, or logo.

Friday March 19th- Dress like a crayon day. As well wear bright socks in recognition of World Down Syndrome Awareness Day.

World Down Syndrome Awareness day is being celebrated this year on March 21st, 2021. Friday February 26th – Patterned clothing day – Wear clothing that has a pattern on it- think stripes, polka dots. Let’s see your creativity Gledhill!
Friday March 12th – Dress in one solid colour. Let’s make Gledhill look like a box of crayons!
Friday March 19th – Wear mismatched socks to help promote World Down Syndrome Awareness Day!
Friday March 26th – For the Love of Animals Day. Wear feathers, faux fur, ears, tails, prints!

Hello Gledhill community!

For a variety of reasons we are cancelling the council meeting scheduled for Thursday February 18th.

We highly encourage you to attend the forum being hosted by our local School Board Trustees on Building an Anti-Racist School Community scheduled for the same date/time. This event is open to all. Registration is required.

How to Join the Ward Forum

• To be able to join, you must fill out the Registration Form at https://forms.gle/zdAQ86qBHCrbVKJx9 at least 24 hours before the meeting.
• When registering, you will be able to submit your suggestions, comments and questions in advance.
• Meeting links and dial-in numbers will be sent to your email address on the morning of the ward forum.

Wonderful Gledhill Teacher Catherine Chitayat is offering an introduction to Google Classroom for parents and caregivers. This session is open to anyone in the Gledhill School Community.
