Highlights from this morning’s announcements:
Read first: “I would like to acknowledge that this school is situated upon traditional territories. The territories include the Wendat, Anishinabek Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Mississaugas of Scugog, Hiawatha, Alderville First Nation and the Métis Nation. The treaty that was signed for this particular parcel of land is collectively referred to as the Williams Treaties of 1923 and applies to lands east of Woodbine Avenue. I also recognize the enduring presence of Aboriginal peoples on this land.”
- A reminder to all ultimate team members of our practices Monday and Tuesday morning at 7:45.
- Thanks to everyone for helping out and competing at our track and field day yesterday. All results envelopes can be sent to Mr. Webb at some point today, and if any teachers have extra ribbons and borrowed equipment please return as well.
- A message from Eco-Club: A reminder to teachers: Today is the Gledhill School Yard Clean-Up. Please sign up in the staff room where you will find gloves (1 per student) and bags. Unfilled bags can be left by the bike racks for other classes to continue filling with trash. Thanks for helping out!
