Highlights from this today’s announcements:

  • Good morning!  Please stand for the Land Acknowledgement and our National Anthem.
  • We acknowledge we are hosted on the lands of the Mississaugas of the Anishinaabe , the Haudenosaunee Confederacy and the Wendat.  We also recognize the enduring presence of all First Nations, Metis and Inuit Peoples.

  • Please be seated.  Make sure you are listening to anything that is relevant to you.
  • Today is Friday Sept 19 and it is Day 4 in our schedule.  Our character theme for September is Respect and here is something to think about.  “Respect yourself and others will respect you.” – Confucius
  • Help raise some school spirit and wear 2 different socks to school next Wednesday!
  • Today is the start of the Rugby World Cup in Tokyo, Japan.  This event takes place every 4 years and each team tries to represent the core values of rugby, which are: integrity, passion, solidarity, discipline and respect.  Canada is ranked 23rd in the world and will take on two time defending champion, the New Zealand Allblacks.  Good luck Canada!
