The next Gledhill School Council meeting will be held TOMORROW (Thursday April 28, 2016) at 6:00-7:30pm in the School Library (2nd floor).

Note that pizza and babysitting services will be provided.
All parents and guardians are welcome to attend all or part of the meeting.

ROLE OF GOVERNANCE CO-CHAIR – Governance Co-Chair is responsible for planning for and overseeing the Council Elections at the beginning of the school year (usually September) as per the legislative and School Council Bylaw requirements and also overseeing the annual review and updating of the Council bylaws.

1. Just a reminder that there is folkfest today at lunch.
2. Room 25 will be going to McCordic this morning.
3. Room 24 goes swimming this afternoon.
4. The junior choir will be meeting tomorrow at lunch, and we will be taking your picture for the yearbook.
5. Today is our T.A.S.A.M. Day at Gledhill!

Best part: While parents are attending the bullying workshop, children will experience the opportunity to participate in an interactive team and leadership workshop which will be hosted by Dynamix. (Child care will also be provided for children who cannot participate in the Dynamix work)

Even better part: PIZZA AND REFRESHMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED!

Highlights from the morning announcements:

1. Just a reminder that there is Folkfest today at lunch.
2. Coding Club for grades 3 and 4 starts today at lunch in the library. Bring your form, bring your lunch, bring your logical mind.
3. A reminder to all students interested in trying out for the Gledhill soccer team: our first tryout is today at 3:45. We’ll be meeting at the outside field. Appropriate attire and permission slips are mandatory.
4. A reminder that there is primary choir practice tomorrow at 11:45 in the music room.

Don’t forget that tomorrow, April 15th, is a PD day!

Highlights from the morning announcements:

1. Wake up Gledhill! Dance-a-thon is here! If you forgot to return your pledge sheet, don’t worry, they can be returned next week. To date you have raised $2650! Way to go Gledhill!!
2. There will be a yearbook meeting today at lunch.
3. A reminder to all those interested in soccer that our first tryout will be held on Monday after school at 3:45 and will run for an hour. The signed tryout sheet and appropriate attire are mandatory for participation.
4. A big pink thank you to everyone who wore pink yesterday to stand up against bullying and homophobia. Thank you to all the grade 6’s who organized a successful, yummy bake sale and all who supported the bake sale.
