GLEDHILL SCHOOL COUNCIL WELCOMES YOU!

The Gledhill School Council Election and first formal School Council meeting is on Monday Oct 3 at 6:30pm (Zoom)

Make a difference in your child’s experience in school this year! Let’s work to make the Gledhill community as strong as possible.

No contribution is too small. Learn how you can support, chair or join a committee, or feel free to just listen in. This meeting will constitute our election of council positions for the 2022/2023 school year and sets the stage for council work for the year ahead. Every parent/guardian of a Gledhill student (including virtual students) has a vote.

All support and ideas are welcome! All meetings will be held via Zoom and those details, as well as the meeting agenda, will be circulated shortly.

We encourage you to consider joining us on the council this year as we work together to build community, overcome obstacles and look for opportunities after a few challenging years. All council positions and descriptions can be found here: https://gledhillguardian.com/council/roles/

🍔🌭 A BIG Thank You! 🍔🌭

Thank you so much to everyone that was able to join us yesterday at the Gledhill Community BBQ! We were happy to have so many of you join us for a beautiful (windy) evening!!

The event wouldn’t have been possible without all of the volunteers that helped out through set up, running games and photo booths, helping out with the food and finally cleaning up. Thank you to everyone that put their hands up to help out, we were a small but mighty group!

Thank you to the businesses that supported us, please show them our thanks by supporting them as well:

  • Davidson’s Valumart – generously donated all of the chips and drinks that were provided with each meal
  • Oak Park Deli – generously donated the Spanakopita for us to enjoy – they were very delicious!

We would also like to thank M&M Food Mart (3351 Lawrence Ave.) for helping us cook and distribute nearly 700 meals! And for X-Movement and Dance N Culture keeping us busy with activities.
