  1. Please remember to put garbage in it’s place, in one of the several garbage bins around the playground.
  2. Grade 5 and 6 Boys and Girls there will be a tryout at lunch today in the gym with Mr. Mattison.
  3. The ScotiaBank junior marathon forms are due Monday. Please give them to Mme Scaife in Room 26.
  4. Next Thursday is PHOTO DAY. Have your smile ready!

  1. Girls and boys in Grade 5 and 6 who are interested in playing Slo Pitch, please meet in the gym at morning recess (Wednesday)
  2. Any Grade 5 and 6 boys and girls interested in playing Flag Football, there will be a meeting today (Thursday) in the gym at morning recess, from Mr Mattison.
  3. All volunteers – please stop by the office to check that your clearances are up to date.
  4. Hey folks – we are running tomorrow (Friday) at 7:45, meet at the Terry Fox doors!

  2. Students are reminded to please bring your chess forms to the office and put them in the bin on the counter.
  3. All runners are welcome to meet at the Terry Fox doors tomorrow at 7:45, remember it’s never too late to become a runner!

We look forward meeting with many of you this coming Thursday evening for School Council’s first meeting of the school year. We hope to see many new faces too, so please spread the word! Click here to read the agenda for Thursday’s meeting.

The main purpose of this meeting is to share the roles and responsibilities of School Council in preparation for Council elections on October 6th.

If you want an opportunity to get more involved at your child’s school, come out Thursday to learn more. From attending School Council meetings, to volunteering your time and energy in support of a Council event, to running for a position on Council, there is something for everyone.

On behalf of Gledhill’s School Council, welcome to the new school year!

Please join us Thursday, Sept 24th at 6:30pm for our first meeting. The meeting will be in the library on the 2nd floor and it will end by 8:00pm. We will discuss the role of School Council and our elected positions, setting the stage for an October 6th meeting where voting will take place. Child care will be provided.

A little birdie (OK, Mme Scaife’s facebook) told us that for tomorrow’s assembly, students should “dress, accessorize, go over the top” in the following colours:

Kindergarten – red

Grade one – orange

Grade two – yellow

Grade three – green

Grade four – blue

Grade five – purple

Grade six – pink
