We hope everyone had a lovely march break!

We have a reminder for the kinder and school aged families of the Gledhill Avenue Childcare Centre:

Reminder that registration for GACCC summer camp for currently enrolled families will close on Monday March 17. 

At this time registration is only available for currently enrolled families, registration for other families within the community will be made in the coming weeks if spots still remain.

Please Note: Currently enrolled families will need to register for a minimum of any two 5-day weeks (10 days) of Summer Camp to keep their Before and After spaces for September 2025-June 2026 school year. Please see the Summer Camp Registration document here for more information about the minimum registration requirements.

All Gledhill parents are welcome to join the March 03 meeting of parent council. It takes place in the Gledhill library from 6:30-8pm. Free childcare & Pizza will be provided in the staff room directly across the hallway on the second floor (the kids have a blast!). Please enter from the main doors on Gledhill Avenue.

This is an opportunity for you to connect with other parents, ask questions and share concerns. This meeting’s agenda is as follows:

We stand in solidarity on issues of bullying prevention, inclusivity and gender rights. We continue to do all we can to support positive mental health/ school spirit/ positive morale at the school in inclusive ways. We are so proud of our growth and development of understanding for a better school climate and community.

On Wed Feb 26, please send your child(ren) wearing their past Gledhill pink shirt, or any pink item, to stand together against bullying.

The TDSB has announced that today, Thursday Feb 13th, the school’s will be closed due to the weather.

Hurray for Skate Day!

In preparation for Skate Day, each class will be visited tomorrow, Wednesday February 12th. If your child needs to borrow skates &/or helmet please send a sturdy bag with your child.

Their borrowed skates & helmet will be stored at the school in their sturdy bag. The bag will be returned to them after skate day.

To make a donation for skate day, a tab is available via cash online.

Skate Day is Back on Tuesday, March 18th at East York Memorial Arena!

Fittings for kids who would like to borrow skates & helmets will take place on Wed Feb 12th, please ensure your child brings a sturdy bag as they will be required to store & carry their borrowed items to the arena and then return after Skate Day.
