1. 800m and 1500m runners, don’t forget to run this weekend. 3-4 K is good.

2. Come join our PALS for a fun activity during recess. Look for them outside.

3. 200m runners see Mr Robinson at recess by the portables. 400m runners meet at 11:30 by the portables.

4. Running Club t-shirt orders are due to Mme Scaife by next Thursday.

5. Running Long Jump and Standing Long Jump gr 2-6 please meet at the sand pit at the back of the school at PM recess with Ms Alsop

6. Shot Put – Girls in grades 4, 5 and 6 please meet Mr M at morning recess at the playground. Boys in grades 4, 5 and 6 meet at afternoon recess.

1. Math Caribou was in the library after morning recess.

2. Running Club meets Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30 sharp!

3. Grade 4, 5, 6 girls interested in shot put met Mr. McLachlan at morning recess.

4. Our PALS activity leaders were outside at recess. Join them for an exciting activity.

5. Any grade 4, 5 or 6 students interested in running the 200m or 400m met with Mr. Robinson by the portables at morning recess.

6. Strings was cancelled due to instructor illness.

2. Students in grades 4-6 who are interested in trying out for Triple Jump please meet Ms. Gully and Ms. Sklanny at recess this afternoon my the monkey bars.

3. Any students in grader 4-6 who would like to try out for the 200m or 400m please see Mr. Robinson at morning recess by the north doors.

Gledhill Spring Concert – Thursday, May 22

Children-singingThe Gledhill Spring Concert will take place on Thursday, May 22nd at 6:30pm in the gymnasium. The following classes will be performing: Rooms 6, 18, 21, 24, 26, 30, P1 and P2.  Our school band, Primary Choir, Junior Choir, and the Ukelele Kids will also perform.  You will be receiving further details about class performances from your child’s teacher and/or choir/band/ukelele director within the next couple of weeks. The students have been working hard to put together some exciting performances. We are looking forward to an evening of wonderful entertainment and we hope to see many Gledhill families in attendance!

Guest Speaker: Kate Wallis is the Ward 16* representative on the Toronto District School Board’s (TDSB) Parent Involvement Advisory Committee (PIAC). Kate has over 10 years’ experience advocating for students and parents in the TDSB. She has a wealth of knowledge about school councils and is a passionate supporter of parent engagement and public education.

*Gledhill is part of Ward 16.

GLEDHILL STAFF & TEACHER APPRECIATION LUNCHEON- They fill our children with knowledge and passion for learning, now let’s fill them with delicious food! SACA is coordinating an appreciation luncheon for the staff and teachers on Monday May 5 and we need your help!
How can I help??
1. Donate a nut-free dish to the luncheon – appetizer, main or dessert.
2. Donate your time over the lunch hour on May 5 to help with set-up and clean-up.
If needed, food can be dropped off at the school, on the morning of, in the Terry Fox Centre kitchen.

2. House League Soccer: Rm 6 played Rm 7 on Monday.

3. Running Club meets Tuesday at 7:30 sharp. Remember to bring socks in case it rains.
