Culture of Equity in School (2017)
The Toronto District School Board’s (TDSB) Enhancing Equity Task Force is working together with the School Board and local communities to learn about and reduce barriers that prevent students from learning. The purpose of the Task Force is to find ways to improve the culture of learning and well-being to help schools meet the needs of all students.

As parents/caregivers within the TDSB, we have the opportunity to provide  feedback as a group towards the work of the Enhancing Equity Task Force by collectively submitting answers to a survey on the “culture of equity” in our school.

The Gledhill School Council invites you to join us on Thursday, November 9th at 6:30pm in the Gledhill Library to contribute to the survey answers.
Childcare will be provided for school aged children.

Please contact Marisa Silver – Parent Engagement co-chair – at
mwosnick@gmail.com with any questions.

From the survey website:
“An equitable school system is one where each student is given an equal and fair opportunity to thrive. We want to hear from you about the culture of equity in your school. We (the task force) will collect this information through an online Feedback Form.
(Please note that this is not an evaluation of the school. The purpose is to collect data to understand what stage TDSB schools are at in creating equitable experiences and outcomes for all students. This data will provide each school with information to guide planning and action. At the same time, it will help inform the Task Force in its recommendations for the School Board to take bold steps in maximizing the potential of every student and every school community. Individual school reports will be shared in Fall 2017 so that an ongoing effort can begin locally to enhance equity in every school.)” ~TDSB Enhancing Equity Task Force
