QSP Magazines

QSP badge 3

Gledhill’s QSP magazine fundraising drive ends on November 6th! Whether you are renewing subscriptions or getting new ones for relatives, now is the best time to order. Magazines make great gifts and QSP has a magazine for all tastes and interests. There is even a page dedicated to magazines for kids and teen magazines.

To place an online order go to http://www.qsp.ca/store/lightreg.aspx and type in Gledhill’s school code, 9164. From there you simply select the magazines you would like and add them to a shopping cart. Checking out is simple and secure with a credit card. Of course, you can also use the order form that went home before Thanksgiving with the QSP envelope. When you order or renew before November 6th, you ensure that your magazines will be delivered to your mailbox starting in January of the new year.

Silent Auction!

auctionSave the date! Gledhill’s Silent Auction is back! The big event will take place Friday, November 22, 2013 from 7:00 – 10:00 pm. Live auction begins at 7:30pm. This is one of our major fundraisers for the year and a great night out. The Silent Auction offers incredible bargains, delicious food, fine wine and an opportunity to see the gym transformed by floral genius and Gledhill mom, Rosie Jeffares. As always, we need volunteers to make this event a success. Please contact Andrea, at rourkenassif@sympatico.ca, if you can:
  •  Donate goods or services for the auction.
  •  Cook or bake something tasty to contribute to the evening’s finger food.
  •  Work a shift on the night of the auction (set-up, bar, kitchen, cash, clean-up, etc.)

If you are able to procure an item for the Auction, please contact Andrea Rourke. A running list of businesses that have been approached can be viewed here. Admission is $2.00 or food bank donation and it is an Adult Only Event (19 yrs or older).

Looking forward to seeing many of you there!

Terry Fox Run

Hey folks, welcome back to school!  We’re a little slow to get back at it here at the Guardian, but we’re going to keep on top of our homework from now on, honest!

Anyway, click here for the link to the Terry Fox sponsor page so you can sponsor your child for the Terry Fox run this Thursday.  Our online total is already at $885 — let’s make it over a thousand for this continuing worthy cause!
