gangnam-style-dance-vector

In order to make the Gledhill Danceathon even better we have moved the date to Thursday, April 30th. Amazing music will once again be brought to you by DJ Honey Pockets with Special Guests: Rhino and DJ Chokaholik. Help us save some trees by using the green pledge forms that were sent out earlier this month. If you no longer have this pledge sheet, please print it up from the file attached.

The Dance-a-Thon is one of our key fundraisers for the year. All the money raised will be used to fund Gledhill School Council-sponsored enrichment programs at Gledhill such as: Drama with Jeff, Scientists in the School and Skate Day. We are hoping that all who can, will help us raise an average of $20 per student through pledges from friends and family. All students will have the opportunity to participate in the Dance-a-Thon, regardless of whether they raise funds. You can also receive a tax receipt from the TDSB. Please see the details on the pledge form.

Gledhill School Council Bylaws

Gledhill School Council is pleased to announce that the School Council Bylaws were approved at the last Council meeting (on March 10) and are now posted on the Gledhill Guardian website under the “Council” section. The Bylaws are also available directly here (Word format) or here (PDF format).

The bylaws provide direction to ensure that the Council is operating effectively and that the Council actions are aligned with Ontario’s legislation specific to School Councils.

The most significant change outlined in the bylaws document is related to Council membership.  All parents and guardians of children attending Gledhill are now considered members of Gledhill’s School Council and can therefore attend and vote on items at any meeting (therefore please feel free to attend any or all meetings!).

If there are any questions or comments, please feel free to email thegledhillguardian@gmail.com.

Thank you for everyone who volunteered their time to help develop the bylaws!
