It’s hard to believe that it’s the final month of school! There is lots going on as we wrap up the year, here are some things you can expect:

June 3rd to 6th– Grade 3 EQAO Testing + Bike & Scooter to School Day!🚲🛴
EQAO: Good Luck to the Grade 3 students this week!
Bike & Scooter Week: Names of participants will be collected by teachers and entered in a box for bike-related PRIZES! Good for our health and for the air we all share!

June 7th– PA Day
School is closed

June 10th– Parent Council Meeting
Online & In Person. More details & Agenda to follow

June 13th– Prodigy Day & Kindergarten Orientation for Registered Families

June 14th– Game Day

June 20th– Play Day

June 21st– Pizza Lunch & Grade 5 Farewell Afterparty
Pizza Lunch: This will be available on School Cash online in the coming days.
Grade 5 Farewell: On behalf of the Grade 5 parents, an Grad party has been arranged for all the students. It is a great way to acknowledge all the hard work that the kids have put into their primary/ junior years.
Where: The Legion – 1240 Woodbine Avenue
Time: 6-9pm

June 25th– Grad 5 Graduation
Please join us at 1pm. We look forward to this to honour and celebrate our students. A formal invitation card was sent home already!

June 28th– Last day of School

Family Fest is almost here! YAY 🎉

A few things to note:

• The event is from 3:30 until 7:30
• There will be a limited quantity of BBQ items for sale on a first come first serve basis
• Bracelets can still be purchased on site for $35. Prepaid bracelets can be picked up at the ticket table
• Tickets will be on sale for $1 each, these can be used for games, activities, the bake sale and other snacks. Cash & Card will be accepted

Thank you so much to Parent Council for putting this all together, it’s going to be a fun event! We look forward to seeing you!

What to do expect: 

When you arrive, head over to the ticket booth to sign in, get your volunteer pinny then head over to your station- they will be marked with signage.

If you are monitoring a bouncy, here are the rules you need to ensure the kids are following:

• If you are at a bouncy that has two volunteers, please ensure you are in different spots to ensure safety
• No Shoes
• No pushing, hitting, etc.
• If kids are paying by tickets there are no on and off privileges (use your discretion)
• If you are listed as a floater, the expectation is to roam around to see if any stations need more support (follow the crowds!)

On behalf of parent council, we wanted to provide an update on our virtual silent auction, taking place THIS WEEK. In the first 6 days of 8 we have now raised over $3000.00!!! There is STILL plenty to bid on so don’t miss out on this opportunity to contribute meaningfully while indulging in some fantastic local treats and experiences!

Check out the lunchtime kids yoga and mindfulness session with Ms. Jeens, helping to promote wellbeing, concentration, and emotional regulation. Enjoy a one-month pass of convenient online workouts through PeachyFit. Interested in some parenting support? (because parenting is HARD work), check out the parent coaching sessions. Get your kid moving this summer with a Jack of Sports Soccer Weekend Program. And finally, don’t miss out on seeing the pride on your little one’s face when they see you in the crowd at the next winter concert. Front row tickets are still up for bid!!   • $8: Veggie burger with a drink and bag of chips
  • $8: Jumbo Beef Hot Dog with a drink and bag of chips (*Hot dog and Bun are halal)
• All you can bounce: $25 via school cash online by May 22 ($35 day of via cash & card)

Note: BBQ orders cannot be accommodated the day of the event as we need to provide final numbers to our vendor.
