Gledhill’s Annual Skate Day is tomorrow!

Students in grades 1-6 will be walking over to Ted Reeve Arena and strapping on skates for a fun day of skating with their classmates. Please note we are now going to be in the main Ted Reeve Arena as opposed to the bubble as originally planned.

Students are encouraged to bring their own skates and helmets but, a limited supply of loaner skates and helmets will be available at the rink.

It’s not too late to volunteer!

Volunteers are still needed to help with skate tying at the arena in either the AM (9:00 to 11:00) or PM (12:45- 2:15). Questions can be directed to nichols_andrea@hotmail.com

Spirit Assembly tomorrow — dress the rainbow!

A little birdie (OK, Mme Scaife’s facebook) told us that for tomorrow’s assembly, students should “dress, accessorize, go over the top” in the following colours:

Kindergarten – red

Grade one – orange

Grade two – yellow

Grade three – green

Grade four – blue

Grade five – purple

Grade six – pink

Looking forward to seeing the Gledhill spirit rainbow!

Family Fest 2015!

What a great event! The weather was perfect, the food was (as usual) delicious, the games and activities were popular and no bouncy castles flew away!

Thank you to all of the families (students, former students, parents, grandparents, relatives, teachers and staff) that came out to meet up with friends in support of Gledhill. What a great way to end the school year! Special thanks to the masses of volunteers who stepped up to take on a shift at a booth or game. We couldn’t have done it without you! Of course, this event was only possible because a small group of parents who dedicated themselves (and a lot of their time) to organizing Family Fest this year – brainstorming ideas, planning events, contacting vendors, preparing activities, soliciting businesses for prizes and, of course, recruiting amazing volunteers.

It was a rewarding experience, one which we hope you will consider helping out with next school year.

Have a great summer. We look forward to another fantastic year starting in September.
