What’s coming up?

  • Wednesday June 12- Spirit Day- “Have a Magical Disney Day!”  Show off your Disney best at our Spring Concert Dress Rehersal

  • Friday June 21- Spirit Day- “Tacky Tourist Beach Day”
  • Saturday, June 22 – Gledhill goes to the Argos

Reminder that there is a bin in the office for donations of supplies to “Gledhill Gives Back”.  Donations(school supplies and non perishable food) are being accepted until the last day of school!!!

The treaty that was signed for this particular parcel of land is collectively referred to as the Williams Treaties of 1923 and applies to lands east of Woodbine Avenue. I also recognize the enduring presence of Aboriginal peoples on this land.”

  1. There will be a track meeting at am recess for all athletes competing Monday at the south finals.  Meet Mr. Webb outside the gym office at morning recess.

  1. Eco Club: Today we would like to talk to you about the effects of plastic pollution on Earth. As you may know, plastic is very useful and can be found everywhere. Unfortunately, it’s effects last very long. Plastic has many toxic chemical that can be harmful to fish, plants and other animals. What do you do to help the Earth? Do something DRASTIC cut PLASTIC!

  2. Spring Concert Decoration Committee meets today in the music room at lunch to prep for our Spring Concert.
  3. Primary classes go directly to the gym following morning announcements for our Prologue Performance.
  4. Message from the Eco Club: Have you noticed some piles of mulch near the big trees in the school yard? Mulch is very important for our trees. It’s used around the trees to retain the moisture, regulate soil temperature and to stop weeds from growing. Eco-Club will use it for our trees. Please do not play with it and don’t spread it around. Thank you!

  2. Concert Decorating  Committee meets Wednesday at lunch.
  3. Jump Rope for Heart kick of ceremony is today at 10:30am. Pledge forms and letters are ready to go home.
  4. Reminder to all students on any Gledhill athletic team that updates for practices are on Mr Webb’s website. Please check each morning as the weather is sometimes too wet and if practice is cancelled it will say so on the website.
  5. All grade 4 and 5 boys interested in playing Ultimate Frisbee please come to the gym at recess (Mrs Pace)
