Grade 3, 4 and 5 Bike Skills Rodeo – Parent Helpers Invited

In past years, the Gledhill Council and administration have coordinated with Officer John, our Community Police Officer, to hold a Spring Bike Rally.
Unfortunately, The Toronto Police Service has discontinued their Community Officer program so an officer will not be available to us this year. One of our teachers has been able to secure a Cycling Education Program geared to Grades 3, 4 and 5 to be held on Friday, May 3rd.
The Gledhill School Council is also working to find a similar cycling activity for the Grades 1 & 2 students that is both safe and fun. Stay tuned!
The Parents of Grades 3, 4 and 5 students are invited to participate with their child’s class. Students received a permission form last week. Check your child’s form to see whether they are in the AM (9-11:30am) or PM (12:40-3:10pm) group. Please email gledhillvolunteer@gmail.com if you are able to volunteer. No cycling experience required.
Note: Students who particpate must bring a bicycle in good working condition and a CSA Helmet.

Dance-a-thon Donations can still be submitted

Friday’s Dance-a-thon was a success!

Thank you to all our parent volunteers and to everyone who donated to one of our school’s key fundraisers.

If you still have donations, they can be brought in to school anytime this week or made easily through http://www.schoolcashonline.com. (Just sign in to your child’s account and click the “Make a Donation” button.)
