Our next School Council Meeting is tomorrow – Thursday, Feb 23 in the school library. House keeping items start at 6:00 and the general meeting starts at 6:30. ALL parents are welcome and are voting members of the council. Childcare and pizza are provided!

Highlights from this morning’s announcements:

1. Primary Choir is today! That’s right, it’s Tuesday! See you in the Music Room at 11:45. Come and meet our new accompanist.
2. House League Volleyball will continue after the boys basketball league is finished. More details and opportunities to join!
3.  Congratulations to the boys basketball team for their win on Thursday. They move on to play more games starting this week!

Highlights from this morning’s announcements:

1. As you may already know we have some special visitors in our school today! It’s the Earth Rangers Assembly! Grades 1-6 please go down to the gym for 9:00am. the assembly will be about an hour so recess will be 10:30-10:45.
2. Yearbook Committee will not meet at lunch today due to a scheduling conflict.
3. We have fruit! Please come and get beautiful apples and nectarines.
4. The Grade 6 Boys Basketball team played their tournament yesterday and showed some outstanding basketball skills! We play our next match against Leslieville tomorrow to see who moves on to the next round.

1. Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s lovely to see all the red, white and pink Spirit Wear.
2. Come celebrate Winter Carnival at morning recess. Look for the games in all parts to the yard.
3. Primary Choir starts back again next week! See you all then!
4. Staff interested in helping with Urban Voices please come to Rm 30 at lunch today.
5. Gledhill is hosting a boys basketball tournament today. Welcome to players, coaches and parents of Norway and Duke of Connaught schools.

Gledhill hosted a boys basketball tournament today and our boys won both their games against Norway and Duke of Connaught. They will go on to play the winner of another local tournament on Thursday after school. Great job boys!

Highlights from this morning’s announcements:

1. Tomorrow is Red and White Spirit Day for Valentine’s Day.
2. Come celebrate Winter Carnival at morning recess all this week. There will be grade 5/6 students running games in all parts of the yard.
3. For the Love of Carnival is also hosting a door decorating contest. Work together to design a door that celebrates the Love of Winter Carnival.
4. No choir practice tomorrow but conductors meet in Rm 15 tomorrow.
5. The 100th Anniversary Committee meeting scheduled for this Wednesday has been moved to this Thursday due to division meetings.
6. There is Folkfest today at lunch. Please bring your outdoor gear and meet outside of the doors by the large lunchroom.

Unfortunately, due to inclement weather, tonight’s Gledhill Movie Night has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.

1. If you lost a raccoon hat at the Marlies game, please go to Room 8 to get it back.
2. Two weeks today! Storm Troopers in grades 4, 5 and 6 will be heading to Roy Thomson Hall to hear the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Please practice the Star Wars theme on your recorders and bring them to every music class.
3. Message from the Eco-Club: Open your window coverings and turn off the lights. Save our resources.
4. Eco-Club members will meet at lunch in Rm 6. See you there!
5. Forest of Reading and Makerspace Club for Junior students meet in the library today at 11:30.
6. Movie Night is tomorrow night! “The Secret Life of Pets” Doors open at 6pm, movie starts at 6:30pm.
