Daily Announcements – Thursday, June 26

announcementHighlights:

1. Important announcement to all who ordered spirit wear: If you are missing things from your order, please see Mme. Scaife TODAY.

2. Good Morning Gledhill! We have some extra important announcements today from the…MIXED UP FILES OF MR MCLACHLAN. As you all know, Mr McLachlan is leaving Gledhill after 5 years. He has been a principal and even a student a long, long, long time ago! We’d like to share some fun facts about a boy who dreamed of taking over the school and making it a better place. In 2008 he finally fulfilled his dreams.

Did you know…That he began school in Rm 4?

Did you know…He was in a portable in Grade 2 and his favourite hobby was building models from the hobby shop?

The Breakfast Club’s Kitchen Fundraiser

Screen Shot 2014-06-25 at 7.20.10 PMThe Breakfast Club’s Kitchen Fundraiser is taking place on Saturday, July 12, 2014, 11:00 onward at Sobey’s.

With the help of Sobey’s grocery store, on the south side of Danforth between Gledhill and Main Street, we are hosting a barbecue to raise money to get this Breakfast Club kitchen built! This time it isn’t breakfast food, but hamburgers and hot dogs, as well as pop. Come out and support our efforts to make the Gledhill Breakfast Club the envy of the neighbourhood!

Whether you are going to shop, or are on your way somewhere else, stop in at Sobey’s to support us. We will be in the east parking lot and will be the noisy group with all the kids. Remember, every hot dog, hamburger and pop you buy will move us one step closer to making the kitchen a reality. We are also trying to organize some other entertainment too, so if you have a skill, such as balloon animals, face painting or something else, please let us know. We want to have fun and make sure people will be glad they came by.

If you have any questions, or to volunteer, please contact thegledhillguardian@gmail.com and we will put you in touch with the organizer.
