Potluck time!

This was SO. MUCH. FUN. last year — sharing a delicious meal with nice people, getting to meet your kid’s friends and their parents, chatting with grownups over dessert while the kids are entertained. I can’t even tell you how much you should go. Just go! (Just don’t forget your food and your family’s plates and cutlery)

Pizza and a Movie, anyone?

Gledhill’s second movie night of the year happens this Friday, March 1st! Come join us for Ice Age 4 in the Gledhill gym. Doors open at 6PM, show starts at 6:30PM. We’re ordering 25 cheese pizzas to sell to hungry families, so bring your appetite! This is a family event, so all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Special bonus this time: on top of our regular raffle for a copy of the movie we will also be raffling off 4 AGO passes! These raffles are included with your entrance ticket.

Entrance is $1/person. Popcorn is $1/bag and pizza is $2/slice. All proceeds go to support SACA initiatives like the currently running UcanDoIt. See you there!

Such a great night!

Thanks to everyone who came out and participated in our first ANNUAL Trivia Night!  And thanks especially to Andrea Page for making it all happen!  We look forward to making this a school tradition.

Tonight’s the night

to win big!  Every entrance ticket gets put in the raffle for our great prizes.  And did I mention the part about friends, drinks and trivia?  All while supporting that ever-so-worthy cause, Gledhill P. S.

See you at 8 pm in the gym!

Win tickets to The Wizard of Oz!

Throughout this friendly and relaxed evening, your host will be drawing for fabulous prizes like show tickets, Theatricks camp, and a variety of treasures from local merchants.  Not a trivia buff?  No worries.  No-one will be put on the spot — you can quite easily just relax at your table with  friends old and new, some snacks, and a beverage (wine, beer, soda will all be available!).cjnyqv

SACA Meeting Feb. 19; Trivia Night Feb. 22

Come to the general meeting for SACA (School and Community Association) next Tuesday and meet our new vice principal.

Friday, come on out for a fun (and licensed!) evening of trivia and socializing in the Gledhill gym, 8 pm.  $10 at the door — all proceeds go to support school programs.

Salvation Army Movie Night tomorrow

Just behind Gledhill on Cedarvale Avenue, the Salvation Army church is very active in our community.  In addition to their numerous neighbourhood supports like the food bank and senior drop-ins, they house a very popular after-school program called Kid-Z-Own.

One of Kid-Z-Own’s fundraisers is a monthly movie night in the church — the kids sell tickets and snacks and everyone comes out for a laid-back family fun night.  Tomorrow night’s movie is Brave, and it starts at 7 pm.  Click the link below for more information.  Hope to see you there!
