This Friday, October 26th is Gledhill Family Movie Night

Remember to bring a water bottle to fill up at our water bottle filling station!

We Scare Hunger Food Drive! (and other fall events at Gledhill)

We Scare Hunger Food Drive

The Grade 4 and 5 students in Rms 24 and 25 have been working hard to organize the annual We Scare Hunger Food Drive.  Each classroom has a box and all students are encouraged to bring in non-perishable, nut free food items. Deadline for donations is October 31st. All food will be donated to the Daily Bread Food bank at the end of next week.

Hallowe’en Parade

On October 31st, Students are welcome to wear their costumes in the afternoon. (Remember – no masks or weapons). Starting at approximately, 12:45pm classes will parade outside, around the school yard, to show off their costumes to other students and teachers. Parents, family members and friends are welcome to  come and watch. Rain plan usually includes an indoor, hallway parade.

Fall Fun Door Decorating Contest

Classes will be decorating their doors in the spirit of fall, harvest or Hallowe’en. Prizes will be awarded for the Scariest, Funniest and Most Creative door.

Battery Recycling

There is a large bin near the school office ready to receive your “DEAD” batteries. Help to keep “SCARY” chemicals out of our environment!

  1. Primary Choir is at lunch today for Grades 1 and 2 students. Students, please wait to be picked up from where you are eating lunch.
  2. Grade 4 and 5 Makerspace starts today. Students please eat your lunch in the lunchroom – you will be picked up at 11:45.
  3. There will be a Spirit Squad Meeting today at afternoon recess in the school yard.
