Read first: “I would like to acknowledge that this school is situated upon traditional territories. The territories include the Wendat, Anishinabek Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Mississaugas of Scugog, Hiawatha, Alderville First Nation and the Métis Nation. The treaty that was signed for this particular parcel of land is collectively referred to as the Williams Treaties of 1923 and applies to lands east of Woodbine Avenue. I also recognize the enduring presence of Aboriginal peoples on this land.”

  1. Are you ready to boogie?! Gledhill’s Dance-a-thon is tomorrow! Students, make sure to bring in your pledge form and any donations you have and give them to your teacher by Friday at the latest. See you on the dance floor!”
  2. Today is the last chance to pick up tickets for Massey Hall. Please remind your parents to do so by 4pm. We will then meet at 5:30pm in your concert attire to get on the  bus for this evening’s concert. Make sure you are ready and on time. Thank you! We will also have one last rehearsal today at lunch in the Music Room.
  3. Eco-Club will meet today at 11:30 in Rm 6.
  4. The remaining two slo-pitch positions will be posted today. (Mrs. Pace)

  • All Triple Jump and Running Long Jump Birchmount competitors please meet at the south sand pit by the  car dealership at morning recess.

  1. Junior Choir students need to remind their parents to pick up their Massey Hall tickets in the Main Office before 4pm THURSDAY!

  3. Girls Slo-Pitch – there is important information posted for you in front of the gym office.
  4. Boys Slo-Pitch – due to the grade 5 boys missing the first tryout, there will be a another tryout Thursday at 7:45 am. (Mrs. Pace)
  5. Could the Standing Long Jump track team please meet Mrs Pace at the south sand pit at 10:05am?
  6. All Relay members, please meet Mr. Sexsmith at our courtyard baseball diamond at 12 pm.
  7. Shot Put members can meet Mr Webb at his office before PM recess and 80m/200m members at 3:30pm outside the gym office as well.

  1. Junior Choir today at lunch. Our final rehearsal before Massey Hall! Please remind your parents to pick up the Massey Hall tickets before Thursday. They are in the main office.
  2. Due to tomorrow’s choir practice, slo-pitch will be cancelled. We will see you on the field on Thursday morning at 7:45am. (Pace/Webb)
  3. There is an important meeting today in the gym during afternoon recess for all track and field team members. There is a list posted outside the gym so please confirm your name is there and make it out to this very important meeting.
  4. All Ultimate team members are asked to meet Lila at our outside hockey nets during morning recess for a special treat!

Dance-a-thon needs a few parents helpers

Want to be a fly on the wall watching your kid boogie with their classmates?

This Friday’s Dance-a-thon needs 4 parent helpers per shift below to help supervise the kids. (It’s a pretty sweet jig, so it’s first come first served).

Primary (Grade 1-3, doesn’t include 3/4 split classes) 10:30 – 11:20am

Junior (Grade 4-6, includes 3/4 split classes) 12:45 – 1:35pm

Junior Kindergarten/Senior Kindergarten 1:45 – 2:10pm
